PRIVATE CLIENTS: My private clients and their family and friends can access and review digital proofs online. After your photo session, and when your proofs are ready for viewing, you will receive an email from me with your password to see your gallery of images and order prints on-line. Please note that your final high-resolution images will have no copyright marks. On-line images are low-resolution proofs only. Final prints will be color-corrected and optimized for the highest possible quality. Not all monitors have the same specifications. The color in the images you see below may differ slightly from the actual prints you receive.
Your photos will be stored in a password-protected online gallery for 3 months. You can order a variety of prints and merchandise from your images. Your family, friends and anyone else who you share your password with can also order prints and merchandise from your images. I save your images in a back up file on my computer for 6 months. Location
I prefer to create all of my color and black and white portraits in the natural outdoor light. I can also capture action photographs of you pursuing your outdoor adventures for a different and exciting portrait experience.
I shoot the portrait sessions outside at special locations that you select. If you are not sure where the best place would be, I am happy to help you decide based on the atmosphere and results that you desire.
Scheduling a Session
To ensure availability, I recommend that you schedule your appointment several weeks in advance. A non-refundable retainer of at least 25% of the fee is required to hold your date. The balance of the fee, if any, is due prior to the beginning of the session.
If you are unable to keep your session appointment and notify me at least 48 hours before your session, I will be happy to reschedule the appointment and apply the retainer to the rescheduled session. If you are unable to notify me at least 48 hours prior to the original session time, a new retainer may be necessary to reschedule your appointment.

Portrait Picnics
Portrait Picnics are a fun, convenient, and financially affordable way to capture professional, action, and creative Portraiture images of you and your guests while they are enjoying the picnic at an outdoor location that you choose.
You choose the date of the Portrait Picnic (coordinated with me) and send the Evite invitations to your guests using Evite here. Of course, you may select an alternate method of inviting your guests if you prefer.
You must invite enough guests to have a minimum of 5-10 guests attending your Portrait Picnic. Photography sessions last about 20 or 30 minutes each. I also take candid shots for natural Portraits.
There are no sales obligations at the Portrait Picnic. I post all of the images online in a personal password-required gallery for you, guests, friends and family to view at leisure. You, guests, friends and family can order the fine art prints including photo merchandise (which make great gifts) from the galleries.
You receive a 10% commission of the total Portrait Picnic sales in form of credit towards prints from your session and. Your photography session at the Portrait Picnic is free.

If purchased online, all images are printed at a professional lab renowned for color accuracy, print quality and consistency. The images are printed on premium archival paper, specifically designed for professional photography.
I use KODAK Endura (Lustre) and Edge (Glossy, Matte) exclusively for all of my online prints to ensure the most stable, fade-resistant color print material possible. KODAK Endura (Lustre) and Edge (Glossy, Matte) are 'archive quality' papers, designed to last for generations. This KODAK paper will last 100 years before noticeable fading occurs in a typical home display, and over 200 years in dark storage.
New Metallic paper: With a glossy finish and unique metallic appearance, these prints have extra visual interest and depth. They are printed on long-lasting Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper.
This paper uses a proprietary combination of film laminate layers that produce striking, three-dimensional, lasting images on an ultra-bright background. The effect is sometimes described as "chrome on paper."

Mounting

The photo is professionally printed, mounted onto 1/8" acrylic and then laser trimmed and finished, leaving a gorgeous polished edge and a print that floats off the wall. Hanging is a snap - literally. You just attach the mounting bracket to the wall using the included hardware, align the magnetic cups on the back of the print to the magnet discs on the mounting bracket, and - snap - your Fotoflōt print is mounted firmly in place. Processing and Shipping
Processing and printing typically takes 3-4 business days. You will receive a confirmation email when you order online, and an email letting you know the shipping status of your prints and merchandise. If you select “economy" shipping, it will be delivered by USPS First Class Mail and is not trackable.
Under certain circumstances, it can take up to two full weeks for your shipment to arrive. Currently, it has been a week or less for my clients. If you do not receive your order two full weeks after it shipped, please let me know! I will expedite the order.
Referrals
When you refer a friend or a family member, you receive three complimentary 8"x10" portrait prints after their paid and completed portrait session. When you refer four friends or three family members, you receive a complimentary portrait session after their paid and completed portrait sessions.

In these trying times, it is essential to have an identification card containing your child’s pertinent information for their person and for you.
For example, what happens if your child gets lost in your neighborhood, at a grocery store, or a large shopping mall? Your child will have the ID card to be able to show a security guard or police. You will have a similar card to show authorities who are looking for your child. Time is of the essence!
I can provide you with photographs for your children’s National Child Identification Program ID kit. I do not charge you a sitting fee nor are there any fees or obligations for the photographs. As a parent and a grandparent, I offer this as a free public service.

Yes, as a wildlife photographer I photograph exotic animals and critters in the wild. I can easily photograph your pet Rabbits, Ferrets, Hamsters, Gerbils, Rats, Mice, Chinchillas, Snakes, Spiders, Hermit Crabs, birds, and more.
Of course, I prefer the excitement of photographing wild animals in an uncontrolled, wild, and natural environment. Nonetheless, I see the value of photographing captive animals especially as an education process for children, the next generation of wildlife caretakers. I favor organizations that provide appropriate habitats and treatment for the animals. I provide clearly labeled captions that show the name of the organization.
No. I prefer to photograph your pets in their natural surroundings showing their true personalities. I focus on your pet and use the natural background to draw attention to them.
Yes. I can photograph dogs, cats, and other pets who respond to basic commands. I have a special fondness for Pet Portraiture. I work with you to figure out a strategy that makes the session fun and relaxing for you and your pet. My diverse animal experience is especially beneficial during these times. I have been around horses, dogs, cats, birds, and other pet companions throughout my life.
Yes. I can photograph your pets alone, and your pets together with you and other family members. They are, after all, family. There is a $25 charge for each additional pet.
Being an avid animal lover, I shoot documentary style photos of your pets for a natural look, using available light and/or on-camera flash to record them as they normally are and to capture your pet's different expressions. Additionally, I observe and photograph their relationship with your family members.
I come out to your home and photograph them in your yard or other favorite location. For dogs, beaches, parks, and dog parks work well.
Please bring your pet's favorite treats and squeaky toys.
Session fees are $200, which includes two hours with you and/or your pet. You purchase as many or as few prints as you like. Alternatively, you can order one of three packages, starting at $325, which includes an assortment of prints. Please see the pricing page for more details.
Generally, I take about 300-400 digital photographs. Frequently I take effective images right in the beginning of the photo shoot, and sometimes it will take longer. As long as your pet is cooperative and attentive, I will continue to take as many photos as possible beyond the 300-400 to achieve the mutual goals that we want.
A Pet Portrait session usually lasts 2 to 3 hours, depending on how cooperative your pet decides to be and this includes a getting acquainted period to learn about your pet's likes and dislikes and personality, (and to know me) so I can capture a portrait that is not only beautiful but meaningful. Your pet usually lets us know when the photo shoot is over.

Will you photograph my exotic pets?
Yes, as a wildlife photographer I photograph exotic animals and critters in the wild. I can easily photograph your pet Rabbits, Ferrets, Hamsters, Gerbils, Rats, Mice, Chinchillas, Snakes, Spiders, Hermit Crabs, birds, and more.
What are your thoughts about photographing captive animals?
Of course, I prefer the excitement of photographing wild animals in an uncontrolled, wild, and natural environment. Nonetheless, I see the value of photographing captive animals especially as an education process for children, the next generation of wildlife caretakers. I favor organizations that provide appropriate habitats and treatment for the animals. I provide clearly labeled captions that show the name of the organization.
Do you photograph my pet with props or a portable background?
No. I prefer to photograph your pets in their natural surroundings showing their true personalities. I focus on your pet and use the natural background to draw attention to them.
Do you photograph pets that are not well behaved?
Yes. I can photograph dogs, cats, and other pets who respond to basic commands. I have a special fondness for Pet Portraiture. I work with you to figure out a strategy that makes the session fun and relaxing for you and your pet. My diverse animal experience is especially beneficial during these times. I have been around horses, dogs, cats, birds, and other pet companions throughout my life.
Can my family members be a part of the photo session with our pets?
Yes. I can photograph your pets alone, and your pets together with you and other family members. They are, after all, family. There is a $25 charge for each additional pet.
What kind of pet photography do you do?
Being an avid animal lover, I shoot documentary style photos of your pets for a natural look, using available light and/or on-camera flash to record them as they normally are and to capture your pet's different expressions. Additionally, I observe and photograph their relationship with your family members.
Where do you photograph my pets?
I come out to your home and photograph them in your yard or other favorite location. For dogs, beaches, parks, and dog parks work well.
What should I have for the photo shoot?
Please bring your pet's favorite treats and squeaky toys.
How much do you charge?
Session fees are $200, which includes two hours with you and/or your pet. You purchase as many or as few prints as you like. Alternatively, you can order one of three packages, starting at $325, which includes an assortment of prints. Please see the pricing page for more details.
How many photos do you take in a typical session?
Generally, I take about 300-400 digital photographs. Frequently I take effective images right in the beginning of the photo shoot, and sometimes it will take longer. As long as your pet is cooperative and attentive, I will continue to take as many photos as possible beyond the 300-400 to achieve the mutual goals that we want.
How long is the photo shoot?
A Pet Portrait session usually lasts 2 to 3 hours, depending on how cooperative your pet decides to be and this includes a getting acquainted period to learn about your pet's likes and dislikes and personality, (and to know me) so I can capture a portrait that is not only beautiful but meaningful. Your pet usually lets us know when the photo shoot is over.
Do you photograph my pet with digital or film?
I began my photography career with film. I photograph exclusively with digital now.
